The Festival

The Panama International Performing arts Festival (FAE) is the most important theatre and contemporary dance event in the country, internationally renowned as one of the main biennial artistic gatherings of the region, the event is an opportunity to bring together, during a week, a selection of the best groups and companies in the world, emphasizing in Ibero-America. Its first edition took place in July of 2004 and, in March of 2018 it will celebrate is eighth edition.

The FAE has successfully established itself as a relevant cultural event that makes a positive impact to the country, along with the Panama Jazz festival and the Panama International Film Festival.

Year after year, FAE has contributing to strengthening the local performing arts community and its professional impact as an important element of Panamanian creative economy. The Festival draws on its stance that art and culture represent a fundamental tool for the integral development of the country.
